The film was criticised for the depiction of Persians. In mocking fashion, this episode stereotypes Persians for wearing gold chains, hair gel, silk shirts, "tons of cologne," and preference for designer clothing. At one point, Mrs. Garrison dresses a Mexican day laborer up in this perceived fashion to spy on the real Persians. Mrs. Garrison mocks the Persians' sense of interior decorating by stating that they only use "blue carpeting and golden curtain rods." The Iranian attackers are just as reluctant and have little incentive to fight. The narrative voice explains that "many wanted to go shopping for more designer sunglasses." [ D-Yikes! ]
